Erin is 13. She is currently in 8th grade. She is a piano student of Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya since the fall of 2016. She won the 1st Place of the Little Mozarts International Competition 2019 with Polunin Petite Piano Concerto in A Minor. The same piece also won her the 2nd place of GCC series, The Music of Eastern Europe Competition 2019, and the Honorable Mention prize of the 2019 Concert Artists International™ Virtuoso Competition IV. She also won 3rd Prize of GCC series, Best Tchaikovsky Competition 2019. She performed Beethoven Sonata 49, No. 2, Mov. 1 at Carnegie Hall in May 2019. Besides playing the piano and violin, she enjoys reading, writing, science, ballet, and singing.
Joel Kee Chen
Joel is 11. He is currently in 6th grade. He is a piano student of Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya since the fall of 2016. Joel won 1st place in Little Mozarts International Competition 2019 and performed at Carnegie Hall, NY. Besides playing the piano and violin, he enjoys Lego, reading, badminton and playing with his little brother, Harry.
Harry Chen
Harry is 7. He is currently in 1st grade. He is a piano student of Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya since the fall of 2016. He won 2nd place for the Arts of Piano International Competition 2018, with his Petite Concerto for Piano by Samonov. He won 1st place for the Piano Concerto Festival 2019 of NVMTA, with his Haydn Piano Concertino in F Major, Hob XVIII: F2, Movement 1. The same piece also won him 2nd place for The Best Haydn Performance International Competition 2019 and the Music of Germany and Austria International Competition. He also won 2nd place for The Best Bach Performance International Competition 2019, with his Musette. He performed Kabalevsky’s Easy Variations on a Russian Folk Song at Carnegie Hall May 2019 and won 3rd place in Grand Prizes. He loves Symphonies No. 7 and 9 of Beethoven. He also likes Tchaikovsky 1st piano concerto. His favorite concerto that he has played is Silvansky Concerto for Piano and String Orchestra 1st movement and Mozart’s Piano Concerto in C major K.246 1st movement.
