Alla Lowery, piano

 

Alla Lowery teaches classical and recreational piano to students of all ages and levels, including adults.

Alla Lowery earned her bachelor’s degree from Kazan State Music College in classical piano in 1977, and master’s degree in classical piano from Kazan State Conservatory (Academy) in 1983 (the same State musical institution the famous Russian composer Sofia Gubaidulina had graduated from).
After graduation she worked as a professor of classical piano performance and ensemble, accompaniment, and piano pedagogy, concurrently working as an accompanist at professional music colleges in Russia and Lithuania for many years. She played in chamber ensembles, accompanied solo instruments, vocalists and choirs. She worked 10 years at Yaroslavl Governor’s Academic Symphony Orchestra as a full-time pianist and director of its chamber ensembles. Since the late 90s Alla has been working with MIDI and sampled music instruments, composing music in different genres.
