Aimee Feng

Aimee Feng, age 13, has been playing the piano for 7 years and is currently studying with Anna Ouspenskaya. In the past, she has attended competitions such as the NVMTA Piano Concerto Aimee 3Competition, Piano Concerto Festival, and has performed many times in the AAFAA program. She is also part of the piano trio, Trio Nuage.

Trio Nuage, is a collaboration among students of the premier music teachers in Northern VA. Aimee 2They were recently awarded a 2nd prize in the Piano and Strings Division of the American Protégé International Competition and made their debut at Carnegie Hall. Aimee 5They were  named finalists in the Senior Division of the Misbin Chamber Music Competition this April.
Trio Nuage will be performing at Alden Theater in 2015-2016 concert season as winners of Young Artists Audition.

Aimee Feng (Piano),

Masato Chang (Violin), 14, lives in Vienna, Virginia. Masato began violin lessons at age 9 and is currently studying advanced literature under Amy Beth Horman at the Horman Violin Studio in Washington, D.C. He is currently seated Concertmaster in the Longfellow Middle School Chamber Orchestra.  He served as the Concertmaster for the District XII Honors Orchestra for Arlington and Fairfax County. In his first official year of solo competing, Masato has already been awarded an Honorable Mention in the Junior Division of the Asian American International Competition in 2014, and 2nd prize at the American Protégé International Competition for his solo piece. Masato was also named one of the youngest Finalists in the Feuer Memorial String Competition at age 12. Most recently, Masato had Aimee 8the distinct honor of being awarded 3rd prize in the ENKOR International Competition. For the second year in a row, Masato was one of a select group of students who represented our studio in New York City at an exclusive class with Juilliard professor and internationally renowned pedagogue, Shirley Givens. He was also accepted to the InterHarmony International Music Festival where he studied with Ms. Shirley Givens in July, 2015 in Tuscany, Italy.

Colin Hill (Cello), 14, attends Luther Jackson Middle School in Fairfax, VA.  Colin has been playing cello since 3rd grade.  He has been with his instructor John Kaboff of Arlington, VA for the past 5 years.  For two years he was a member of the Prelude Youth Aimee 7Orchestra where he was the featured soloist in the final performance of the 2012-2013 season.  He performed with the IBIS Chamber Music Society at a concert in 2013.  In 2014 he attended the Tennessee Cello Workshop at the University of Tennessee where Aimee 6he was awarded third place in his age group (up to 8th grade).  He was selected as the Principal Cellist for the Fairfax County District 10 Orchestra in 2015.
